Including an Additional Costs Coverage benefit in your event insurance plan provides financial protection for unforeseen and unpredictable expenses incurred to keep your event running after a covered loss.
This may include costs arising from damage, burglary, theft, unauthorized access, or even destruction of goods essential to the event’s production.
This benefit can serve as a valuable complement to other coverage areas, such as Facilities, Sets, and Furniture Insurance, ensuring you're fully protected for any extra expenses needed to continue the event after an unexpected disruption.
Additionally, for indoor events, this coverage can extend to additional production costs caused by natural disasters. However, for outdoor events, Inclement Weather protection must be purchased separately in order to activate Additional Costs coverage in such scenarios.

It’s important to understand that Additional Costs Coverage under a Thailand event insurance policy typically excludes expenses related to certain types of damage, including:
- Damage caused by insects, vermin, latent defects, or normal wear and tear
- Loss of goods left in open air (unless the event is being held outdoors)
- Unexplained or mysterious disappearances
