It’s important to understand that renewing your Thailand health insurance policy is entirely your decision. While you are given the option to extend your coverage at the end of your policy year, there is absolutely no obligation to do so.
If you feel dissatisfied with the service provided by your insurer, are concerned about premium increases, or wish to explore new coverage benefits, CCW and our Thailand insurance partners can assist you in finding alternative health insurance options in the Kingdom that better meet your expectations.
Should you choose to renew your existing health insurance plan, it’s essential to recognize that the renewal represents a new insurance contract. This fresh agreement will override the previous policy terms, although you are free to request amendments or improved benefits during the renewal process. Whether those changes are accepted will depend on the mutual agreement between you and the insurance company.
Even though renewal constitutes a new contract, continuing with the same policy and insurer ensures that any medical conditions developed during the previous coverage period will not be re-assessed. These conditions will continue to be covered under the terms of your renewed plan and will not be considered pre-existing under the policy.
CCW Global and our Thailand Insurance Partners can provide comprehensive support during your health insurance renewal. From communicating with the insurer to facilitating requests for changes to your coverage, we are here to help. Please note, however, that while you may request modifications, approval for any changes is at the discretion of the insurance provider.
